Taking a Break...

Hi everyone, I thought I'd just write a little post today to say I've decided to take a break from blogging. It won't be for very long, but I've been contemplating for a long time. I have a lot of uni work to do and work as well so at the moment I want to spend my free time with the people around me. I still love blogging, but I'm also feeling a little bit uninspired at the moment, which is putting me off writing even more. I hope to be back very soon, with a brand new theme and definitely some kind of improvement on my photography, as I'm just so unhappy with it all at the moment. My final deadline for assignments is the 24th April, so I will definitely be working on my blog from then, and I hope you all understand! Thank you x

Technic Cosmetics - New Products*

Hey everyone, I'm really sorry for not posting AGAIN. I finish university in a few weeks so hopefully will be posting a lot more then. The past few weeks have just been crazy with working, assignments and my grandad was recently taken into hospital, so most of my time has been spent with him. He's on the mend now thankfully!

A few weeks ago, the team at Technic Cosmetics very kindly sent me some products to try. If you haven't heard of them already, they are an affordable makeup brand with loads of products. I was super greateful and wasn't expecting much, but they sent me 5 products which is crazy! After trying them out for a little while, I've now made up my mind on what I think of them and I'm so ready to share them with you! I had never tried anything from Technic cosmetics before and I love them as a brand and I'm in love with their products.

Eye Shadow Primer - This was the product that I was most excited about. I'm loving all the looks at the moment with the glitter blended in with the transition shades and crease colours so I was really looking forward to trying this, as I thought it would remind me of fix plus by MAC. I found it smelt rather chemically, which to be honest doesn't bother me much, but really does help to intensify the shimmer shadows. It does crease slightly, but I'm not sure if its due to me having rather dry eyelids. I've loved using it and will continue to reach for it! Unfortunately I can't find it on the website, but I'm sure I'll find it soon and keep you updated!

Colour Correcting Setting Powder - I was really happy to see this in the package as I currently only own one setting powder, but ever tried anything else. I like to stick to what I know I love, but then on the other hand I like to try new products too. It's a very cool toned powder, which is fine for me as so is my foundation. It's been made for colour correction, but I haven't used it for that, but I'll let you know. It's in really sturdy packaging which is a bonus as it doesn't spill as much. To be honest I love this one just as much as my other one so I will tend to reach for both! You can purchase it here from just my look for just £2.95.

Brow Pen - I was a little skeptical when looking at this as in the packaging it looks really warm toned, which would be an absolute disaster as my hair is blonde, so it would not be a good look at all! I was actually really surprised at the colour, as it was a lot more cooler toned than I expected. It was so easy to apply and was so natural looking, I was really happy with how natural it looked. Find it here for just £2.99

Mega Lash Mascara - The big and bulky packaging screams the word volume, and the wand looks really good and like it will actually do something. When applied, it makes my lashes really black which is really good, but I think due to my lashes being rubbish it doesn't do much. I think it is volumising and makes your lashes the blackest of black, but I do have some other mascaras that I like better. It retails at just £4 and is available here

Get Gorgeous Highlighter - Although the packaging is little bit unsturdy, but I think this will be perfect for the summer. It's a little dark for my skin tone at the moment, but during the main summer months (especially when I go away) I think it will be the best highlight colour. It's so shimmery so it won't be a subtle glow, but I'm looking forward to using it in a few months. It retails for £3.49 and you can buy it here.

Overall, I love all of the products as they do what they are meant to do, but a few aren't suited to me yet. For the prices they are incredible and affordable, so I will be definitely purchasing more in the future. Make sure you check out Technic Cosmetics via http://www.lovethymakeup.com/products/technic/ for amazing affordable products!

Have you ever tried anything from technic? Let me know in the comments!

See you soon,

Geo x

Glossy Box: March

Hey everyone, hope your having a good start to your week! I have some very exciting posts coming up for you over the next few weeks, so make sure you stick with me! In today's post I will be showing you what I got in my Glossy Box this month! Over the past couple of days I have seen on Twitter that not many people liked the box this month which is crazy! I always love every single product I get in the box as I love to try out new things and if something doesn't work with me then that's okay, because I haven't spent the money on the full size product! So I will always continue to subscribe and receive my Glossy Box, as I think it's such a good concept and they haven't let me down! Make sure you head to https://www.glossybox.co.uk/ to see what they can do for you!

I think people got some different products to me in the box this month, as when I joined I filled in things such as my hair colour, skin type etc, so this box is very personal to me. I am so excited to try out the products and let you know my thoughts!

Oolution: Eye Love - After the past few weeks my eyes have been really sore and itchy so I think I've had a reaction to something (not sure what!) so this may be my life saver. It's full of natural ingredients so will be perfect, and states it can diminish and reduce puffiness, which is exactly what I'm looking for. I have a feeling I'm going to love this cream, as it looks really luxurious. It's a full size product and retails at £30 (that's more than double of the value of what I paid for the box in the first place).

Sleek: Eye and Cheek Palette - There are four different palettes that were given out, so I think everyone would have one of them, which I'm so excited about to switch things up. It contains 4 shadows and two cheek colours. Looking at the palette straight away, it's something I will reach for a lot. The packaging seems a lot more expensive than some of the others that I own and looks perfect for travelling as it's so small, but precise and a good amount of product (it also has a really good mirror!) I love Sleek as a brand and love their shadows so am really looking forward to using it. Again, this is a full size product and retails for £10.

This Works: In Transit Camera Close Up - I have dry skin, so again I think this will be perfect for me as my skin. It's a primer, moisturiser and also a mask, which obviously seems like a lot. It smells really fresh just like a mask from lush and is very thick in consistency, so seems like it will really do something to my skin and keep me hydrated, as I get very dry throughout the winter and spring. I can't wait to use this under my makeup, so I will definitely let you know my thoughts. This a sample but a generous one, and the full size retails for £30 (eeek!)

Schwarzkopf: Blonde Keratin Restore - I am SO excited to try this. I usually use the purple toner which works really well, but I can't wait to try this and see the benefits. I usually get highlights and it goes nice and lighter in the sun, so think this will be perfect for on holiday! Although it doesn't make your hair lighter (I'll leave that to the sun!) it will help keep it super soft, which is exactly what I'm looking for. It's a full size product and retails for around £13.

Stripped Skincare: Rosehip and Mandarin Moistuirising Oil - Again, I was so excited to see this in the box, as I've seen all over Instagram people using face oils and things like that, so I really hope this does a lot for my dry skin. It looks like a little goes a long way and the sample size is really generous so will last ages. I'll definitely let you know how I get on with it. It retails at £16 for the full size product.

What did you get in your box this month? Do you subscribe to a different box? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,

Benefit: Soft and Natural Brows

After long thought, I am hopefully going to get some sort of schedule set up for my posts so there is some consistency here on my blog. I usually just write when I'm feeling stressed and want to escape and my posting is literally all over the place, so I definitely want to try and post on a regular basis for you guys. Thank you for being so patient with me and continuing to read! (Hopefully I'll be putting my amazing blog planner to good use!)

One thing I have been loving recently is this set. When I received this for Christmas from my boyfriend, I was super excited, as I had my eye on the new brow collection from benefit for a while. He was really happy to see me open it as he'd literally gone out and chose the shade himself (huge brownie points to him as he got it spot on) and I couldn't wait to try it out. I usually use my ABH Dipbrow with an angled brush which I still use, but just for day to day when I'm not really wearing much makeup, I love using this for a much more natural brow. (I got the shade 3 tin)

So firstly, the packaging is super sturdy and fits right in my makeup bag, which is perfect when I'm carting everything to and from uni. Each product has its own little felt compartment too, to keep everything safe and make sure there not rolling around everywhere. The tin contains:
  • Ready, Set, Brow - A beautiful clear brow gel to keep those hairs in place all day
  • Goof Proof Brow Pencil - In shade 3, a beautiful warm shade to fill in the brows (one end contains a wind up pencil and the other end a spooley for brushing those hairs through before application
  • High Brow - A stunning brow highlight with a pink undertone to blend on the brow bone to uplift your eyes and make you look more awake (even if you feel your not) or give the brows a quick tidy-up
  • The set also contains a tool to shape the arch which is really useful as well as some stencils, but being totally honest I haven't tried them out so won't be able to tell you my thoughts

The packaging has had a revamp and in this gorgeous silver packaging, which makes it all look so much more high end. The quality is really worth the money, and a little really does go a long way. I now find myself reaching for this on a daily basis to give me natural brows. That's the one thing I will always love about benefit, you never have to buy everything separate and the sets are usually cheaper in price! This little box of goodness retails for £31.50 (buying the three main items separately would come to £58.50!) so it's well worth the money. I will always love benefit and I'm always recommending to everyone I know as I've tried out so many of their products.

What do you love from Benefit? Let me know in the comments!

Lots of love,

Georgia x

February Favourites

How the hell are we in March already guys?! This is the dreaded month for assignment deadlines! I will keep trying to post as much as I can, but obviously uni work will always come first for me. The past week or so I really haven't wore much makeup due to me thinking I've had a reaction to something and also having a stye around my eye (I think!?) so I'm really hoping it clears up before a party I have next weekend. There really aren't many favourites this month, as I haven't really worn much like I said (I know, I like to repeat myself!) So anyway, before you all get bored of me rambling, on with the post!

Liz Earle: Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser - Now that was a mouthful! I have seen so many people raving about this and my boyfriend got it me for Christmas. I've been using it a lot more frequently and really enjoying it. It's so silky smooth on the face and removes makeup perfectly (even mascara!). It has such a lovely scent and keeps my face really clean and hydrated! It retails for £15.50 (the starter pack) complete with two of the muslin cloths to wipe off the product, and you can find it here.

Too Faced: Chocolate Bar - This is literally my holy grail at the moment. When I first got this palette, I literally didn't get the obsession apart from the lovely chocolate scent. I then used it a lot more and realised just how versatile it was and how many different looks can be created. My favourite shades have to be salted caramel which is the perfect transition shade and also marzipan for the inside of the lid. Although the palette is on the expensive side at £39, it is definitely worth every penny! The packaging is really sturdy and is literally good enough to eat. Purchase it here.

Maybelline: Colour 24hr Tattoo - I have raved about these so much in a previous post (check that out here) and I added another one to my collection in the shade Creme De Nude, which is literally the perfect eye base. It is a skin colour texture and sticks to the lid perfectly. The only thing I would do is set it with a powder as it can interfere with the shadow, but other than that it is amazing and above any eye primer that I've tried. Have a look at it here (select the shade creme de nude) and it retails for just £4.99.

Rimmel London: Lasting Finish Primer - It's taken me a while to purchase a new primer as I thought I didn't actually need one, but I now realise how important primer is. I wanted something cheap and cheerful that did the job, and this was just it. I love the fact its a cream primer and not a sillicone type, as I'm not too keen on those. It keeps my face in place all day and makes it not rub off which is something I'd been noticing a lot, so I've been using it loads over the past month. It retails for £6.99 and can be purchased here.

Nivea: Fruity Shine Lip Balm - I have been loving this as during these winter months my lips have been so dry and these are perfect just to pop in your bag to use on the go. I love the peach one and have also been using the strawberry, and they have been keeping my lips lovely and soft. They aren't too expensive and can most likely be bought in your local supermarket, so definitely keep an eye out and pick one up!

What were your faves this month?

See you soon,

Georgia x

Glossy Box: February

As I was scrolling through my posts the other day, I actually realised I hadn't updated you all on what I got in my Glossy Box this month! I honestly thought I'd uploaded it already but I've only took the picture! I have actually used pretty much everything so it will be a lot better as I can give you my honest opinions! If you're not sure what Glossy Box is, it's a box that I have subscribed to, paying £13.25 a month (including p+p). I then get a box delivered to my door each month containing different beauty products, giving me the opportunity to try out new things and see what I think of them. Want to know what's in the box? Keep reading!

Jeanne Arthes: L'Eau de Rose - I was so excited to see that Glossy Box had included a fragrance in their box as I'm always on the look out for new scents, as I can never just pick one. I would much rather spend my money on makeup than fragrance so I tend to get my faves for Christmas and because I get about 3/4 they last me the whole year (its great!). I love most of the cheaper ones such as Britney Spears and Katy Perry for literally like £20, and I do have a few favourites like Daisy by Marc Jacobs which I love to use in the summer, but this is such a fresh scent. I'm used to most of the fruity style scents so this was a nice change. It's a 30ml bottle, and to be fair I've used this pretty much every day since I've got it as I love it so much (I've actually used about a quarter) so I could run out of this very quickly so I may have to repurchase it! The 30ml retails at £20 and is available on Ebay (or the companies Facebook page)

LA Theorie Des Volcans: Face Scrub - This product has a big long name to it which I've cut down, but its basically a face scrub. It has a lovely scent to it and turns grey when it dries (it can also be used as a mask). I've used it twice and I'm happy with the results, but I've broken out really bad the past few days, so will maybe have to stop using it as it could be the cause. I really hope it isn't though, because it smells lovely and does a good job of removing dead skin cells and making my face super clean. It retails for £26, which is a bit on the pricey side and is available here.

Garnier Ultimate Blends: Treasures Strength Restorer Balm - I've used Ultimate Blends before (I like to change up when it comes to shampoo) and I did find it rather drying, but I don't think that will stop me from using this. I never really bother much with my hair, but still want to give it a try and hopefully I'll start to make more of an effort. I love just relaxing in the bath with my lush products, a good facemask and a good hair mask. I love using the ones which contain the Moroccan oil as it smells divine, but I'm still excited to give this a try. This is only a sample so for one use, but it retails for £4.49 for the tub (which isn't too bad) and is available at Boots.

Ciate London: Paint pot in Iced Frappe - I was so excited to see this in the box as I literally purchased a top with my New Look gift card a few weeks ago which is literally the same colour. I painted my nails this colour after taking off my press on nails (see the review here) and I've been loving it ever since. I haven't had any problems so far apart from my nails need some TLC (as always) but I've been loving the colour and how well it's stayed on, as I've never tried anything from Ciate before. I will definitely be looking at more colours and the packaging is just so cute, right? This retails for £9 (which I think is sooo expensive for nail varnish but it's a good one) and can be purchased here. After looking on the website to post the link I didn't realise they did makeup so I'm definitely looking to try that out as the packaging is INSANE and looks so high end!

Mememe: Beat the blues - Last but not least, we have this perfect skin illuminator in Oyster Gold. Its a gorgeous colour that is very subtle on the skin and offers an all over complexion boost. I am yet to try it mixed in with my base but will definitely be trying that out soon. It gives a lovely reflection and sits comfortably on the skin, so is definitely something that I will carry on using! It retails at £7.25 and can be purchased here. It took me a while to realise it was 'me me me' I kept pronouncing it as 'me meme' *slaps face*, is this even right? Anyway, I love it! I will be checking out more of their products with how affordable they are!

What products do you like the look of? Will you be looking to purchase some?

The Perfect Valentines Day*

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately, I just find myself catching up on sleep, being around my family and spending time with them when I'm at home, so I do put my blogging aside for a little while as I don't have much of a schedule! But as this post is going up, it will be Valentines Day! I hope you have a wonderful day with either your partners or friends! I'm not sure if I'm doing anything other than having a night in with my boyfriend, but we'll see a little closer to the time!

A few weeks ago I received an email to try some nails that were being released especially for valentines day, so of course, I decided to try them out for you! They are from a brand called 'Kiss' and I received two sets, one in a lovely nude style and normal french manicure. Whenever I actually think of Valentines Day, I think of France and romance so these were really good to try, as one of them is a french manicure! (I definitely feel like I'm repeating myself too much here). I decided to put this post up on Valentines Day as it's the perfect thing to wear on a date, going out with your friends or just to have a bit of a pamper and make yourself feel better! I am so low maintenance with my nails, I usually either pay to have them done which I can no longer afford or there either painted but always seem to chip easily, so therefore these were the perfect solution!

As you can see, there is just the most perfect french manicure in medium length, which I think is perfect as there not too long but not too short at the same time. They're not too square either, which is something that I always tend to look for with false nails with how clumsy I am.

I decided to try the acrylic nude ones as I love going to get my nails done and they remind me of something that I have done, and they are just very simple and elegant. They were so easy to use, flexible to fit your nail shape (yes, people do have different size nails) and didn't chip for anything! The glue was perfect and not too drying when you first apply (I hate getting the glue all over my fingers) but I didn't have any problems with these. They dried and stayed on for so long too! I always find after a little while other nails tend to ping off, but not with these. The glue is so good and long lasting I also had people asking me if I had my nails done! I will definitely be wanting more of these to try! They retail for around £7.95 and have different lengths so there is plenty to choose from! Have a peek at http://www.boots.com/kiss/kiss-artificial-nails to see some more styles!

These are the perfect match for Valentines and means as they have stayed on I can't wait to have them on later for whatever I'm doing! You HAVE to try these out due to every other false nail company I've tried, these are the best and I will be stocking my stash up soon!

Have you every tried press on nails? What were your thoughts?

Have fun celebrating!

See you soon

Face Mask Faves

One thing I have really grown to enjoy is a face mask. I always find myself picking up new ones to try, no matter what the price. I love the feel of them actually doing something on my face and the feeling I get afterwards, which is refreshed. Here I have picked my faves and I'm really looking forward to sharing them with you!

Garnier: PureActive 3 in 1 - I love this product, as it can me a wash, a scrub or a mask. I love using this as a mask more than anything, with the way it sits on the skin. It dries really nicely, and tightens the skin as its working. Its white, which I'll admit makes me look a bit crazy, but I love to use it from time to time. After washing it off my face still feels tight (in a good way) and feels very smooth. It retails for £3.49 and is available here (although I'm pretty sure its available in your local supermarket.

Byron Bay: Exfoliant and Mask - I wrote a post about this not long ago (you can read it here). I've still continued to use this, but not too often due to it being an exfoliant. I want to remove all the dead skin cells but without using it too often and removing the goodness too! I still love it as much as when I first used it, as my skin feels so smooth after, and it can be left on for 20 mins, so being in the bath its perfect when you just want to relax! It costs £23.39, which is on the expensive side but totally worth it! You can buy it here.

Elizavecca Milky Piggy: Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask - Again, I wrote a post on this a few weeks ago! (read it here) and I was really impressed with it. When I first purchased it, I was sure it was going to be a gimmic type of product, so I was a little bit unsure. Well I was totally wrong. I love the foaming effect and how it brightens my skin! I'll admit it is a nightmare to get off but I love the concept and would definitely repurchase it! Theres also quite a lot of product so I feel as though it will last ages. I paid £10 from TK Maxx but I think it is a little more expensive from Amazon.

L'Oreal: Pure Clay Detox Mask - Okay, so I'm aware that literally everyone has been raving about this, but I can definitely see why. I love charcoal masks, and everything about them just makes me excited to use them. I know there are 3 in this collection which all do different things. I went with the detox one as 1. it was charcoal and 2. don't you just love the feeling of coming home, getting in the bath and just relaxing and doing literally nothing? Me too! It doesn't tend to dry but I can always feel my face tightening and it feels really smooth afterwards, so I can go to bed feeling fresh. They retail for £5.99 (usually £7.99 - it's currently on offer) and you can buy it here from Boots.

What masks do you love to use? Do you have any recommendations?

Love,

Georgia x

Boots Facial Scrub

Hey everyone, today I wanted to share with you a little something that I have been loving over the past few weeks. One of my housemates was telling me how great her new face scrub was, so I decided to pick one up when I was out shopping. It's the Boots Tea Tree and Which Hazel (with an extract of berry) Jelly facial scrub (phew!) and is only available in Boots as it's one of their own brand products. The one thing that I never really tend to do is exfoliate (which I know is awful), so this has really helped me to get better at forming a routine regarding my skin.

Okay, so the first thing that really drew me in was the scent. As you probably know, Tea Tree has a really strong scent, which on one hand is lovely but on the other can be a little strong. It's also amazing for spots and cleansing too, which is why it is used in most cleansers. This has such an amazing scent of berry it makes you feel so refreshed every time you put it on your face. It says to use once a week (I think I use it twice as it just smells so good) and it's just basically a thing to do in the shower where you wet your face, apply this all over your skin and washing off (I tend to take it off with a flannel). It has lots of little beads inside to really help with the exfoliating, and you can actually feel it doing something, which is what I always look for when adding to my skincare. I've wasted so much money on things that haven't done anything to my skin, so I am now actually really picky. After taking this off, my face feels smooth, refreshed and hydrated. I then apply my normal moisturiser over the top, and my skin feels amazing. I will definitely repurchase this as I love the scent and the payoff, it's so affordable too!

It contains 150ml, which is quite a lot and I can see it lasting such a long time as you only need a little bit to do your entire face, and it retails at Boots for £4.35, I know you can get cheaper than this with other brands, but I think its definitely worth every penny! You can have a look to purchase it here, or pop into your local boots and have a look in the skincare isles (even if you don't buy it, just go and smell it!)

I know this post is very short and sweet, but I just wanted to let you know about something I've been loving over the past few weeks and something I feel has made a difference to my skin.

See you in my next post!

January Favourites

Even though I didn't do a December favourites, I am still really looking forward to sharing with you what I have been using non stop this month. At the start of January I was rather down, I wasn't doing too well at uni, I was feeling down about my weight, and just in a general bubble and couldn't get back into a routine again. I wasn't blogging as much as I'd love to, which is definitely something that I want to change, so therefore at the end of each month, like I have done for the past few months, I'll let you know what I've been using non-stop. Obviously I got quite a few bits for Christmas but I still find myself sticking to the basics daily, as I'm always having to transport everything to and from uni (sigh), but I can't wait to carry on playing about with my new makeup at home.

I know half of this makeup looks well used (yes, I am getting round to replacing the sponge and I do wash it often) and the palette is very well used but I hope you find some of these products interesting!

Benefit Cosmetics: Cheeky Sweet Spot - I think this product is actually limited edition, but Benefit bring out things that are similar all the time. I'll admit, I've owned this for such a long time, but still find myself reaching for it constantly. As you can see it's well loved, and theres pretty much everything in there that a girl could want. It contains the famous Hoola Bronzer (I still have another 3 of these in my drawer which I haven't touched as I'm still using this one, I get them in the mini sets) as well as 5 blushers (including Bella Bamba which isn't actually available anymore). It's lasted me for ages and my favourite definitely has to be dandelion as you can see. It has all the favourites such as sugarbomb, coralista, rockateur, so it's definitely something you can switch up on everyday, which is why it has a comfortable place in my faves this month.

Real Techniques: Miracle Complexion Sponge - Okay, so pretty much all the makeup utensils I own are actually from Real Techniques (and a few morphe) but I find myself using this every day for my foundation. Mainly for quickness, a buildable coverage and no brush streaks (I find myself covered in them if I'm in a rush). This is amazing to be used damp with just water (it is a more sheer coverage but a lot better than being used dry). There also so affordable for £5.99 (you can also get them in packs of 2) and they last quite a while (have a peek here - they are on special offer right now) and I literally have another 4 at home to use as people knew how much I love them so I got them for Christmas! I've never tried the beauty blender so I can't compare it, but at the moment I don't feel any need to have one, as this does the job perfectly!

Rimmel London: Match Perfection Foundation - A few weeks ago I posted on my twitter account which foundation I should get, and most people went for the Rimmel ones. I decided to go with the Match Perfection as it's a moisture foundation, which sounded perect for my dry skin. I wouldn't say it has coverage anywhere near what my Double Wear does, but its definitely buildable. It lasts all day, matches my skin tone really well and is just a lovely general every day foundation. I got the lightest shade which is 010 Light Porcelain, and it also has an SPF of 20, so it's perfect for the summer months. Next time your in Boots/Superdrug, take a peek! (you can also look online here) and for only £7.99, can you really go wrong?

Lipcote - I received this in one of my Glossy Box's (you can read about the box here) and I used it literally all through the Christmas period, and just haven't stopped using it since. It keeps my lipstick on all through the night with no fading, no streaks and it just stays perfect all the time. It does tingle slightly when going onto the lips, but to be honest I feel like it's a small price to pay for your lipstick not budging all day! (have a look online here where it's just £3.69)

Colourpop: Lippie Stix - This has been my new favourite thing since Christmas. I got this in my Colourpop Order which I my dad kindly bought me (you can see my haul here) and I have used this quite a few times already. It's perfect to use with the lipcote (see above) and is just the perfect colour for both every day and night time wear. They are so cheap at $5 I can't wait to try more! Although there were customs charges etc I was still pretty happy with the product and how creamy and long lasting it was. The colour is so pretty too, so again this product sits firmly in my faves.

I know some people may find these favourite posts each month pretty boring and unoriginal, but I love thinking and picking out the products that I have enjoyed using for the past month and sharing with you guys! Please let me know if you want to see more or if I should scrap them!

What were your beauty faves this month?

Glossy Box: January

I can't believe I've hit 6.000 views! I haven't been as focused on my blog as much as I'd like to be, but I'm so happy that people still continue to read my posts and that I know me sitting writing posts for hours is worth it! Thank you all so much!!

I know this post is long overdue, and its almost the end of January, but I thought I would share with you the products I received in my Glossy Box this month. I can't actually believe I have been subscribed to their service for 6 months now! I'm still loving all the products I get. I love using the new skincare I get and quite frequently reach for the makeup too, and I always find the brushes really handy. Everything is so varied each month so it's not as if you get all makeup or all skincare, they do a mixture of it all. If your not already, please go and subscribe because for around £14 a month you can get over £30/40 worth of goodies, which is a no brainer!? This months box is based on "good enough to eat" so has some lovely products to offer.

Nip and Fab: Kale Fix Moisturiser - I know so many people who swear by this skin care brand, so I was super excited to see a large sample size in the box. I'm always up for trying new skin care and think this will be really hydrating and keep my skin smooth. The full bottle costs £19.95, which is a little pricey, but I always see it as a good investment if it works. It contains aloe vera so is also great for soothing the skin. I really look forward to trying it! (purchase it here, it's actually on special offer right now - I'm not sure how long for though so be quick!)

The Balm: Matte Eyeshadow - I was really presently surprised by this. Its the cutest little matte shadow all on its own, but look perfect for the crease. It's a gorgeous dark red with a brown undertone and looks really good for travelling, as its the perfect compact. Its part of a palette which is £39 so I guess to own the shade you'll have to buy the palette, which a bit crap. But on the other hand, its pretty cool Glossy Box give us these exclusive products as its so unique. I'm just glad I'm in love with the shade! (Purchase the palette here)

Spa to you: Natural Konjac Sponge - In my first ever glossy box I received the exfoliator, which I loved, and now they have added a Konjac sponge into the mix. I received a similar sponge from the Konjac Company a few months ago (check out that post here, which has made me fall in love with using them! To be honest, I won't be opening this one until my other one is too worn for use, so I will keeping this until I am ready to use it! (No doubt I'll do a review on it!) Have you tried the Konjac sponge yet? Let me know in the comments! (Purchase the sponge here)

Vitamasoues Manuka Honey Mask - I really like the look of this, as I can imagine it smelling just like honey! (well obviously!) so I really cant wait to use it. Being perfectly honest I love liquid masks rather than sheet ones, but I guess it's just down to personal preference? I think my face feels just as nice whichever type I use, so I really can't wait to try this out! (purchase here)

Unani Illuminate Milk Cleanser - This is most likely something I won't be able to use *sad face* as my body is so fussy when it comes to bath stuff. I can literally only use Sanex (Not that I'm complaining as I love the smell but it would be nice to try something different sometimes) and I can just about get away with using Lush bath bombs (I can't use bubble bars or shower jellies or anything like that), so I might have to give it a miss as I don't want to risk anything. I'll definitely give it away and see what they think of it though! (Purchase it here)

I am so impressed with this months box once again, I never go wrong with any of the products (even though I can't use one of them!) The total for this months box is £79.93 (what!!??) so I'm so chuffed again!

Sorry it's taken me soooo long to write this post, I have been crazy busy with everything and just getting back into a routine. I hope you've enjoyed seeing what I received and I hope I can get February's post out a little quicker (I hope it's something to do with Valentines?!)

Thanks for reading lovelies!

Elizavecca Milky Piggy: Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask

Apologies again for not posting as much as I should be, but I only tend to write when I feel relaxed or need to get away from everything. I know people tend to write like 10 posts and schedule them but there is no way I can just sit for hours on end, even though it is something that I love to do. A few weeks ago, I was shopping with Sophie (aka Planet Whispers, who else!?) and we went to T K Maxx. As you all probably know Sophie loves TK Maxx and I always spend a lot more money than I should. She went in looking for the clay mask that literally foams on your face and she managed to spot one. I was gutted as I thought it was the last one and had seen so many people raving about it on YouTube, so I wanted to try it for myself. After scanning for ages (trust me, I'm almost blind), Sophie managed to find another 5/6 on the bottom shelf. I have used it twice already so therefore feel I can review it properly as the results were the same both times.

The mask retails at £9.99, which to be honest I do consider to be a little on the pricey side. I can't see how much product you get as everything is in Chinese, but it does look like you can get a decent amount of masks from it. When I saw the mask and heard about it, I did think urgh not another one of those gimiky things that don't work, but I was actually so surprised. Inside its covered to stop it reacting and being wasted which is always handy, and it also comes with a little spatula. If your anything like me, I hate putting on a mask with my hands, as I have to wash and dry them and I often use my phone in the bath and it just makes matters worse. The spatula fits easily inside and helps to glide on the mask effortlessly before I climb into the bath. The consistency pretty much reminds me of the marshmellow fluff, only a little thicker. It's got an okay scent, it's not disgusting but it's not amazing either. After sitting in the bath for around 30 seconds, my whole face was tingling. It wasn't anything horrible, it's actually quite satisfying in a way. As the mask expanded, I could really feel it tightening my face. It literally foams up like 2cm away from your face, which is insane. After sitting and relaxing (as well as taking snapchats of my foamed up face) for about 10/15 minutes I then wiped off the foam with my hands and massaged the mask into my skin. Underneath, it felt very creamy, but did struggle to come off my hands, but I didn't mind. Then leaving it for a further 5 minutes, I then washed it off and patted my face dry with a towel. I'll admit, it is hard to wash off, but when you do, it's sooo worth it. The first time I used it I wasn't hoping for anything spectacular, but I was so surprised at how tight, clean and soft my skin felt. I thought I'd be wasting my money just to see my face foam, but I was really impressed. I admit it actually works better than some of the other masks I own! I have used it again since and got the same result so I'm really happy and will definitely be repurchasing (As long as they keep it in TK Maxx!). I think the whole concept is brilliant and nothing like I've ever used before.

Interested? Pop into TK Maxx or buy it from Amazon here for £10.35. Overall, I'm so glad I didn't leave this and managed to purchase it, as I know I would have regretted it as soon as Sophie told me how good it was! (read her post here).

Have you ever tried the bubble mask? What are your thoughts?

My Skincare Routine

One thing I definitely got better at in 2016 was skincare, as it was something I never really saw to be important in my regime. Yeah, I love a good face mask, but I would often go to bed with my full makeup still on (yes I know, gross, but I do still do it sometimes). After seeing my skin looking rather dull, especially in the winter time, I realised I had to take some form of action. Looking into my skincare draw I pulled out a few products and just started using them. I'm no skincare expert, but the last thing I want to do is use harsh chemicals as my face usually gets quite red. So here are my favourite skincare products I use pretty much every night to help me feel fresh (I always wake up in a better mood with a fresh face, rather than having foundation all over my pillows)

Firstly, I use just a facial wipe to take off most of my makeup. I find that just using micellar water doesn't take it all off and to be honest, it still feels grubby. I just use fragrance free wipes whichever I pick up, I don't usually tend to go for anything too expensive as I go through them so quickly. I then take a cotton wool pad and apply the Simple Kind to Skin Micellar Water and rub my face gently to remove any makeup that wasn't removed from the wipe. This will usually remove the last bits of makeup and help my skin to start feeling fresh. Adding on to this I put the Simple Kind to Skin Facial Toner on a cotton wool pad and repeat as I did with the micellar water. I still find bits of makeup coming off, even when I think my face is clean, so it's always good to add a toner to the mix. I also love the simple range because its for sensitive skin and I've never had any problems with it. They are so cheap too (around £3.99 I think) and are available mostly in the supermarket so you can just pick one up when you're shopping. They last ages too so that's always a bonus.

Swiftly moving on to moisturiser which is my favourite bit. Putting it on when you have a fresh clean face and feeling the hydration is amazing before getting into bed. I usually do use the one from Simple but recently I've been using the one from Avene, which is specifically for redness. I can feel the soothing as soon as it goes on and I feel like it make a real difference. It is slightly pricey for around £11 on Look Fantastic, and you only get 40ml, but every penny is worth it. You literally only need the slightest bit so it will last about as long as the Simple skincare, so something you should look into if you are prone to redness like me.

I would usually just stop there, but I have recently added another two things to my routine...

These products are my life savers. I spent a lot of money of some Estee Lauder Lipsticks not so long back, and I got a free goody bag with my purchase full of skincare samples. They are definitely a good size, as you know sometimes you find you can use something once and your out of it, so you cant use it up to the full effect. With Estee Lauder skincare being SO expensive, I'm not sure how I'm going to bring myself to repurchase these. But I guess if something works, then it's worth it, right? I firstly apply the Advanced Night Repair Serum all over, which again you only need so little of. I feel so refreshed and I feel it helps so much with brightening up my complexion, I don't think I will ever stop using it. Retailing at £52 for a larger bottle at Boots (Yes I know it KILLS me) its the perfect way to help bring everything together and wake up feeling fresh. Lastly, I add the Estee Lauder Nightwear Plus Cream to help soothe everything and finish off the routine. Its green in colour so perfect for redness again, so a perfect end. It keeps my skin feeling smooth and hydrated and perfect to wear at night. Again, I don't think I can bear to repurchase this! (See it here) as it's £46, and to be honest I don't really have to think about aging as I'm only 19, but we'll just have to see when the time comes. Until then I will keep enjoying and loving it!

What are your skincare faves? What works well for you? I'd love to know!

See you soon,

Georgia x

ColourPop Cosmetics: New Products

When Christmas was fast approaching, I was really undecided on what to ask for. My parents and boyfriend always ask me to give them some ideas and sometimes it's nice to know a few of your gifts. Most of the time when I'm buying gifts I like to have some idea of what they would like, as I know they will use it! Luckily everyone knows me pretty well so I love all the gifts and especially the thought of people thinking about me and what I would like. My friend Sophie, who you probably know from over at Planet Whispers messaged me and said that Colourpop were offering free shipping for literally a day. I had been looking at Colourpop for a while as I'd always seen the American Youtubers (mainly Kathleen Lights) using the shadows, so I'd always wanted to try them. After flicking through the website, I decided on a few products, which my dad kindly offered to buy me for Christmas. I actually ended up missing the free shipping offer due to being at work *sadface*, and I knew there would be customs charges (it worked out at around £13 which is less than I was expecting), but nevertheless I was so excited to place an order. Want to know what I got? Just keep on reading!

Kathleen Lights - Where The Light Is - This was the main thing I was after when placing the order online. Kathleen Lights is literally my favourite person to watch on YouTube and I've been watching her for years. She is so honest and lovely, like you can definitely tell with some YouTubers that their being paid or videos are sponsored, but she is so upfront about it, which I love. The eyeshadows come in a quad with such pretty decoration and contains 4 shadows that were created by Kathleen. These include Kathleen Lights, Blaze, Cornelious and Glow. I think out of all of them Glow is my fave, just due to it being such a subtle colour and can be worn anytime (See swatches below). I paid $18 for the 4 shadows, which works out at around £14.80, which isn't bad at all. Overall I am super impressed with the pigmentation and the pay off of the shadows, especially when applied with my finger as it just makes them so much more sparkly!

Super Shock Shadow - Due to me wearing eyeshadow pretty much every day, I flicked through the single shadows page and found the most beautiful colours, which I have been wearing non-stop. I got the shades Seeker (A beautiful matte deep red/brown shade) and Arrow (A shimmery bronze colour), which are both so pigmented and work well together. Unfortunately, the Arrow shade came smashed, but after pressing it back together it's good as new. After emailing the company they got back to me really quickly and offered me a coupon code for the value of the shadow, which was really nice, so I will definitely be doing another order very soon! They retail at just $5 each, which is roughly £4.11, so can you really go wrong? They literally feel like little marshmellows when you touch them and there so creamy! It's really hard to explain the texture but overall its a brilliant formula. I feel they are really good value for money and they have some gorgeous shades on their website.

Lippie Stix - Again, this was another thing I got excited about. I got the shade Lumiere, which is a perfect pink with a slightly nuder undertone, which I don't really have in my collection. The formula is so creamy and lasts a long time on my lips, but I'm not 100% sure if this colour is for me, as I'm very fair. I feel like the colour just washes me out a little but I think with a bit of fake tan it will look perfect. I've definitely decided I want to be a lot bolder on my lips, so thats something I'm looking to do in 2017 and go for darker colours and go out of my comfort zone. I'm so used to nudes and same with eyeshadow, so I defintely need a pop of colour in my life. The packaging is very sleek and they have some gorgeous colours on their website, so make sure you go and check them out after reading this post. They retail again for $5 (£4.11) and this is better than half the high end lippies I own!

Colourpop is definitely growing to be one of my favourites, even only after trying out a few products! I wish the shipping and customs charges were a lot less as then I would buy so much more! My Mum is heading to New York in April, so will definitely be giving her a long list of products to buy! I neeeeed to try out the eyeliners as they look so creamy!

Have you tried anything from Colourpop? Do you think the shipping and customs is worth it?

Love,

Georgia

The Konjac Sponge*

To be 100% honest, I haven't started the New Year as well as I'd hoped. Waking up on January first full of cold and having sickness, really isn't what I expected, but I guess thats how the cookie crumbles. I was hoping to post my favourites on the 1st as I have always done, but I guess that just didn't happen. After spending the past few days days in bed, sleeping and watching Friday Night Dinner, I remembered I hadn't posted about my Konjac Sponge. I was sent this about a month ago and to be perfectly honest, trying to balance uni assignments, working both days at the weekend and blogging was so difficult alongside being ill for pretty much all of it, so I haven't been able to focus on my blog as much as I'd like to. I have been using the sponge for a good few weeks now and I feel ready to express my opinions on it and give it a review. I hope you enjoy my first post of 2017!

Overall, I am super impressed with the service from the brand. They were really friendly and understood my problems as to why I couldn't review straight away, so I'm glad they were so understanding. The sponge is used for cleansing, which has a unique formula using the Amorphophallus Konjac plant. It includes lots of vitamins and minerals (for example vitamin A, E, D, magnesium, iron and zinc). It's used to cleanse and exfoliate the skin, get rid of eye puffiness, good for sensitive skin as well as cell renewal.

When I took it out the packet and it was a lot harder than I expected. I love the fact they provided a leaflet with exactly what was in it and how to use it, as personally I would have no idea and be way to scared to use it. The first time I used it, I felt a difference straight away. After running it under the shower it became just like a normal sponge, which was so soft. Using it just once was a turning point for me. After being so ill over the Christmas period, my skin just looked so dull and dry. This definitely helped to revive it and add a bit more life, and wasn't harsh on my skin. Twice a week I would add in an exfoliator just to help make me feel a bit better. I have continued to use this for a few weeks and I'm super impressed. I never expected it to be so good to be honest, as I thought what most of you are already thinking, what can a sponge actually do?! It's recommended to renew the sponge every three months which I will definitely do as I think this is one of the best finds in a while. I could honestly write so much more but I feel I don't need to as you just have to go and grab one yourself and the results will speak for themselves.

The company has a whole range of different sponges to fit any skin type or any skin problems, so there is always something for everyone. They retail for just £8.99 (The one I received) and yo can have a mooch here. I am so impressed with the product and will continue to use it! I had never heard of them before so its always interesting to find a product you love!

I'm really sorry I haven't been posting as much as I'd like, I've had a rubbish few weeks but now focusing on getting better and getting through uni. I hope to post a lot more often showing my favourites or new beauty finds along the way.

Thank you so much for reading, as always

Georgia Xxx
